What we call dessert the people of Wisconsin call salad and I'm all about it! I had this recipe over the holiday at a family Christmas and immediately asked for the recipe. It was presented as a salad that goes on your plate next to your food... but we did wait till dessert to have it. When I was told it was Orange Jello I had my doubts but I am so glad I tired it anyway because it was absolutely delicious. I hope you enjoy it too (btw the recipe is from Elaine who is turning 98 in February - Happy early Birthday!!)
Ingredients
1- 3 oz package of orange jello
1 small box of instant vanilla pudding
12 oz container of Cool Whip, thawed
12 oz can Mandarin oranges
Instructions
Dissolve jello in 1 cup hot water then, add 1 cup cold water and refrigerate for 5 minutes.
Drain the mandarin oranges and set aside.
Beat the dry pudding in the jello for 4 minutes, then fold all of the Cool Whip into the jello.
Let the jello set in the refrigerator and fold the drained oranges when the jello is partly set so the oranges don't sink to the bottom.
Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Serve and devour.
